Stir Fried Chinese Broccoli with Oyster Sauce

 serves 4

ingredients

  • 350gm chinese broccoli cut into pieces

  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

  • 2 cloves garlic finely chopped

  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce

  • 1 tbsp light soy sauce or tamari


method

  • Blanch the broccoli in boiling salted water for 2 - 3 minutes then drain thoroughly

  • Heat oil in the wok or frying pan and stir fry the garlic over a medium heat

  • Add the broccoli and half the oyster sauce and soy/tamari

  • Stir Fry over a high heat for 1 - 2 minutes to ensure stems are just tender

  • Add remaining oyster sauce
